Friday, while driving back to Moncton from showing a property in Sussex, I noticed a sign beside the TCH - FUTURE HOME OF CASINO. As I quickly passed the sign at 110 kmph, it seemed the location of the new casino was no longer a mystery.

Then my real estate agent mind kicked in and it dawned on me - that parcel of land is not in Moncton city limits. My next thought was - why, there won't be any property tax revenue for the City of Moncton. The area where the sign is located is in the taxing authority of the Local Service District of Moncton. Frankly, I'm not sure who that is, but it's not the City of Moncton. And I checked the Provincial riding boundaries.

Not to put too fine a point on the location, but will the new casino and hotel be in the L.S.D. of/D.S.L. de Moncton and the Petitcodiac electoral riding?
