Buyers Seem To Be Waiting

Upon review our real estate market statistics and my own market indicators, I've reached a conclusion that many potential housing buyers are watching from the sidelines.

  • Some are unmotivated. Housing prices are not rising by any great amount. Mortgage rates are trending somewhat lower. Rental accommodations are plentiful. Many potential buyers are under no pressure to purchase.

  • Some are unsure. Will housing prices actually fall in the coming months? Will governments begin offering incentives to buy? Should they rent a little longer? Is it a good time to trade up from there current home?  When is the right time to buy?

In our real estate market potential buyers have the option of renting until they find the right property at the right price.

If you're a potential buyer and wish advice about the buying process then interview a real estate professional who

will represent you as a Buyer's Agent only and not  also as a Seller's Agent. (double agency),

focuses on your needs, not on "making a sale",

will prepare a comparable market analysis on any potential property,

advises you on the strengths and weaknesses of the local real estate market,

and is experienced in the housing market.

I make a commitment to my buyer clients by pledging my undivided loyalty to them. I will not ask them to agree to double agency.

I'm an independent real estate agent in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.
