October Residential Sales for Metro Moncton

My chart below illustrates the monthly trend of residential unit sales in "metro' Moncton (City of Moncton, City of Dieppe and Town of Riverview).

  • The slide in residential unit sales began a year ago.
  • The number of sales this October was identical to last year.
  • New construction units made up a larger percentage of these sales.
  • The average sale price continues to advance.

    Hi Larry,
I do love your graghs. Your market is quite parallel to Fredericton. Our year over year stats are about 1% to 2% more than last September/October.
It does look like the driving force for such good production is still the low interest rates. The rate certainly seems to be steering the positive market trend. Economists should be looking at this and leaving rates down as long as they continue to produce such favourable results.
