Yes it's almost Labour Day and two thirds of 2010 is past. This is a good time to look at the year to date real estate market in the metro area, in this case the Cities of Moncton and Dieppe together with the Town of Riverview.
 
First let's look at sales of all residential types except new construction. Although units sales are still under the pre-recession pace the average sale price continues to advance at a modest rate, just under 3% year-to-date.

Reported sales of new construction properties have set a new record year-to-date for the Moncton real estate board MLS® System. Approximately one out of four residential sales in the metro area reported year-to-date have been new construction.
