My Metro Moncton Market Report for January 2011 includes Moncton, Dieppe & Riverview and I separated sales of existing residential and new construction.
In addition I'm including the three month period to reduce fluctuations caused inconsistent reporting of sales when they occur.

Unit sales of existing homes moved lower from January 2010. The average days on market for a sold listing decreased slightly. The sale to list price ratio also softened slightly. The average sale price is relatively unchanged.

Sales of new homes were down slightly compared to January 2010. The average days on market is higher than the last two years. The average sale price of new homes was up in January, likely attributable to a decrease in sales of lower priced semi-detached housing.
Note: Almost one third of residential unit sales in the last three months were new construction.
It's a great time in the Moncton area to make a smart buy on residential housing.
