METRO MONCTON NEW HOUSING SALES REPORT - 2011
Further to my previous post about MLS® new housing unit sales, I thought it would be interesting to compare the average sale price of semi-detached, single detached and condominium ownership housing.
I prepared the chart below that illustrates the average sale price trends in the metro market. Some of the increases can be attributed to higher construction costs, however I also suspect that some of the increases are due to consumers trending to purchase dwellings with more square footage.
(note: "metro" encompasses only the City of Moncton, the City of Dieppe and the Town of Riverview)
